Evidence supports the value of lung-protective ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and prone positioning in improving survival at relatively low cost. In contrast, prolonged mechanical ventilation is resource-intensive, offering limited incremental benefit and highlighting the need for targeted, efficient critical care interventions. |
