| Core Tip |
In this study, large sample data analysis from nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients showed that chemotherapy regimens can improve the survival rate and prognosis of NPC patients. Ferritin index is the most differential detection indicator in NPC patients. The prediction model from Cox regression and receiver operating characteristic curve analyses, along with the training and validation sets of decision curve analysis curves, demonstrated that the Ferritin index could notably improve the predictive ability of the basic risk model for the 5-year mortality risk. These findings have significant clinical implications in the development of novel biomarker Ferritin for diagnosis and prognosis of NPC. |
