| Core Tip |
Gallbladder pathology is encountered in many patients with cirrhosis. The pathophysiology of such findings is not clearly understood, yet they are significantly correlated with the presence of portal hypertension and decompensated cirrhosis. Furthermore, their clinical impact is relatively small. Clinicians should be able to recognize common gallbladder imaging findings in patients with cirrhosis and avoid misdiagnosing these patients with acute biliary disease. |
