| Core Tip |
Stem cell therapy is used to repair diseased or damaged tissue, in regenerative medicine using mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). The technology of culturing MSCs is expensive and not available everywhere. MSCs have extracellular vesicles derived from MSCs and are gaining attention as a potential therapeutic alternative to MSCs themselves. For such a process to take shape, scientists should be able to isolate and identify individual proteins and their functionality which can be used for therapeutic purposes. We have used the methodology of proteomics and was able to isolate and identify 53 proteins out which 15 proteins can be targeted in the field of regenerative medicine. |
