Functional dyspepsia (FD) frequently occurs after gastric cancer surgery, severely affecting postoperative recovery. This retrospective study evaluated the efficacy of acupuncture at Neiguan (PC6) and Gongsun (SP4) points combined with domperidone therapy in 120 post-gastrectomy patients. The combination treatment significantly improved clinical response rates, Nepean Dyspepsia Index and Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale scores, and normalized serum motilin and gastrin levels compared with medication alone. These findings indicate that PC6-SP4 acupuncture effectively regulates gastric electrical rhythm and gastrointestinal hormone balance, providing an evidence-based complementary therapy for post-gastrectomy FD management. |
