| Core Tip |
This study investigated the impact of drug-eluting microsphere - transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (DEM-TACE) combined with lenvatinib on anxiety, depression, and quality of life (QoL) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Among 126 enrolled patients, the prevalence of anxiety and depression significantly decreased over 12 months, accompanied by marked improvements in global health and functional scores on European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Hepatocellular Carcinoma 18. The combination therapy showed favorable tumor response and manageable toxicity. These findings highlight the dual benefits of DEM-TACE plus lenvatinib in improving both psychological well-being and overall QoL in HCC management. |
