| Core Tip |
This study developed a nomogram to predict poor postoperative gastrointestinal function in elderly gallstone patients. The model incorporates the systemic immune-inflammation index, total cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio, gallbladder wall thickness, operation time, and time to ambulation. It demonstrated good predictive performance (area under the curve: 0.889 in modeling, 0.828 in validation), accurate calibration, and clinical utility, aiding early identification of high-risk patients for targeted intervention. |
