This study highlights that FNDC5 enhances quercetin-mediated growth inhibition, apoptosis, and anoikis through focal adhesion kinase/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B inhibition and mitochondrial apoptosis initiation. Our results provide further insight into the effect of irisin on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PAAD) cells and suggest a new strategy for PAAD treatment that combines quercetin and irisin. |
