| Core Tip |
We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis assessing prognostic tools in transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) amyloidosis. Out of 7272 studies identified, 42 studies (13145 patients) were included. Prognostic factors associated with higher odds of mortality in transthyretin cardiomyopathy included: higher Gillmore staging, B type Natriuretic peptide, NT pro-BNP, troponin-T, interventricular septal thickness, New York heart association class. Prognostication of ATTR-CM patients can significantly aid in predicting disease severity and guide timely initiation of appropriate treatment strategies. |
