The pretreatment lung immune prognostic index (LIPI) serves as a useful, independent prognostic marker for patients with stage I non-small cell lung cancer treated with stereotactic body radiotherapy. Based on routine blood counts and lactate dehydrogenase levels, LIPI effectively stratifies patients into distinct risk groups, with those classified as "Poor LIPI" experiencing significantly shorter median overall survival compared to those with "Good LIPI". This readily available tool can supplement traditional evaluations to identify high-risk individuals who may benefit from closer monitoring. |
