This cross-sectional study evaluated fecal DNA multi-gene methylation testing (syndecan 2/alcohol dehydrogenase, iron containing 1/protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B’ gamma) in 4050 participants in Haikou City, Hainan Province, China. The test demonstrated a high positive predictive value (85.2%) for detecting colorectal lesions and identified independent risk factors associated with positive screening results, such as older age, Helicobacter pylori infection, high-salt diet, and pickled food consumption. These findings support its potential as a non-invasive colorectal cancer screening tool in Hainan Province. |
