This retrospective cohort study of 23 patients with scaphoid waist nonunion found that double headless compression screw fixation yielded significantly better Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand scores than single-screw fixation, despite comparable time to union and radiographic correction. These findings suggest dual-screw constructs may offer a functional advantage during rehabilitation, independent of anatomical restoration. |
