This study determined whether and how the combination of liver lobe volume measured at magnetic resonance imaging and albumin could predict the presence and severity of liver cirrhosis, and presence of esophageal varices. We confirmed that CV/ALB could be used to identify the occurrence of cirrhosis, and LLV, RV and LLV/ALB could be recommended for differentiating Child-Pugh class A from B, A from C, and B from C, respectively. RV/ALB could be recommended as an indicator for identifying the presence of esophageal varices in cirrhotic patients. |
