Core Tip |
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the 5th most common cancer and the 3rd leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. In recent decades, the incidence of HCC has risen in Europe and the United States. This study showed that, between 2000-2005 and 2005-2010, the number of hepatitis C virus-related HCC decreased, non-viral/non alcoholic etiologies increased and of surveillance programs were more frequently applied.
