Core Tip |
Associated liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) has emerged as a new method for patients with comprehensive liver metastases and a small future liver remnant. This review is an attempt to clarify the role of ALPPS in the context of colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). In this review, it is shown that the resection rate was 97.1%. The mortality rate was 9.6%. However, ALPPS is a new procedure, and the indications and diagnoses for which ALPPS is most suited are not yet clear. There are indications that ALPPS is particularly suited to the context of CRLM. |
