Key Words Yin Chen Hao Decoction; Pancreatic carcinoma; Apoptosis
Core Tip Yin Chen Hao Decoction (YCHD) inhibited the growth of pancreatic carcinoma PANC-1 cells. Following treatment with YCHD for 24-96 h, the apoptotic rates in these cells were increased; the positive rate of Bcl-2 proteins and mRNA reduced; and the positive rate of Bax proteins and Bax mRNA increased. YCHD induced apoptosis of pancreatic carcinoma PANC-1 cells. Apoptosis of these cells may be mediated by up-regulation of the expression of Bax gene and down-regulation of the expression of Bcl-2 gene.
