Progressive nodular fibrosis of the skin is a rare condition characterized by asymptomatic, reddish-brown nodules resembling hypertrophic scars. Histology shows abundance of spindle-shaped dermal fibroblasts. It is mandatory to achieve a correct diagnosis.
