Core Tip |
Drug resistance and disease relapse are inevitable during long-term lamivudine treatment in some patients. However, as long as standardized procedures in combination with comprehensive management are used, viral replication can be inhibited to a large extent. Thus, liver function in patients can be maintained at a stable status for a long time, and the incidence rates of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as hepatitis B virus-related deaths, may be reduced. |
