Core Tip	In this review we summarized that betanodavirus can induce host cellular death and post-apoptotic necrosis in fish cells. A possible cellular death pathway between mitochondrial function and the modulator zfBcl-xs is discussed to provide new insights in the necrotic pathogenesis of betanodavirus.
