| Core Tip |
Intestinal histoplasmosis (IH) is an un-common disease. It is more likely to be encountered in immunocompromised patients. No case series of IH in immunocompetent patients has been published so far. This retrospective study included 4 cases of immunocompetent adults with intestinal histoplasmosis and focused on presenting the endoscopic char-acteristics. It is necessary that gastroenterologists and endoscopists consider histo-plasmosis as a differential diagnosis, even in immuno-competent patients. |
