There is no consensus in the literature about the diagnostic performance of percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy (PTNB) under Computed tomography (CT) fluoroscopy guidance for lung ground-glass opacity (GGO). We performed a meta-analysis to obtain the diagnostic performance of CT fluoroscopy-guided PTNB of lung GGO in terms of pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio and incidence of complications. We also generated a summary receiver operating characteristic curve as a way of summarizing the global test performance of CT fluoroscopy-guided PTNB. |
