Core Tip |
Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) + hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has been considered as the standard treatment for selected patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) in many established cancer centers worldwide. This Chinese expert consensus summarizes the mechanism of CRS + HIPEC to treat PC and its clinical efficacy in gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, pseudomyxoma peritonei, malignant peritoneal mesothelioma, and peritoneal sarcoma. Furthermore, a clinical pathway of CRS + HIPEC to treat PC has also been formulated. |
