Severe mitral regurgitation; Percutaneous mitral valve repair; MitraClip®; One-year outcome |
| Core Tip |
Percutaneous mitral valve repair with the MitraClip? device has positive effects on hemodynamics and symptoms. Despite the multiple comorbidities and extremely high operative risk of the study patients, mid-term outcomes after MitraClip? implantation are favorable. Elevated B-type natriuretic peptide (> 817 pg/mL) levels are indicative of poorer long-term survival.
