The present study was designed to investigate the effect of local surgical adhesive glue composed of albumin/glutaraldehyde in the healing of colonic anastomoses in rats. The application of adhesive glue promotes the healing of colonic anastomoses in rats as it significantly increases the bursting pressure in the early period, but it also causes more adhesions and an enhanced inflammatory reaction. |
