Core Tip |
This study evaluated the prognostic value of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake of bone marrow (BM) on positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in gastric cancer patients with curative surgical resection. FDG uptake of BM was correlated with serum inflammatory markers. It was also significantly associated with worse prognosis. FDG uptake of BM on PET/CT could reflect the degree of systemic inflammatory response to cancer and provide information on the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer after curative surgical resection. |
