Core Tip |
The present study was conducted on the basis of the hypothesis that colorectal adenoma recognized as a premalignant lesion of colorectal cancer is associated with the biological aging process, suggesting that biological age (BA) represents a biological activity in human. Thus, we intended to assess the risk of colorectal adenomas in the average-risk population from the biological perspective. As a result, the present study demonstrated that the prevalence of colorectal adenoma correlated well with BA, and was more common in the distal colon in BA -dominance. |
