| Core Tip |
Constrictive pericarditis arises as a complication of pericarditis from a wide range of aetiologies. A comprehensive understanding of the fibrotic process eventually leading to pathological symptoms is currently lacking.Through this review of the literature, we have identified various molecular mediators which are likely to play a role in the establishment of constriction and which warrant further studies. |
