Core Tip |
Since the treatment for initially unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients is still controversial, we emphasize the importance and effectiveness of different conversion therapies and subsequent salvage surgery. We also introduce the common conversion therapies including their indications, advantages and shortcomings. Challengingly we try to elaborate on the suitable subsequent salvage surgery timing. We advocate the reasonable unified application of these to have the full effect of complementary advantages, to promote their therapeutic effect, and to increase the survival rate of the initially unresectable HCC patients. |
