A large proportion of Korean adults with chronic hepatitis B have poor health behaviors, particularly in terms of smoking and alcohol consumption. High-risk alcohol consumption and physical inactivity are significantly associated with self‑perceived health status. Because it is a risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma, individuals with chronic hepatitis B should maintain a healthy lifestyle. They should be encouraged to improve their health behaviors and participate in appropriate education programs. |
