Upper gastrointestinal bleeding; Blood transfusion; Meta-analysis; Randomized controlled trial |
| Core Tip |

We have performed the present meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials, which potentially supported the superiority of restrictive over liberal transfusion for upper gastrointestinal bleeding. |
