Key Words Hepatocarcinogenesis; CD44; Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease; Animal model; Dynamic expressions;
Core Tip CD44 belonged to a family of adhesion molecules was a marker of cancer stem cells and related to the process about NAFLD developing to NASH and HCC. Dynamic expressions of CD44 in livers or blood at protein or mRNA level were investigated at different stages of fatty accumulating liver progression. The increasing CD44 expression could be one of the most important progenitors and associated with the malignant transformation of hepatocytes with lipid accumulation.
