Core Tip |
Lateral pelvic lymph node (LPLN) metastasis is an important factor for local recurrence after surgery in patients with advanced low rectal cancer. As one of the effective treatment methods, laparoscopic LPLN dissection is limited due to complicated anatomy of the pelvic sidewall and various complications after surgery. In this paper, we introduce an innovative method using indocyanine green visualized with a near-infrared camera system to guide the detection of LPLNs in patients with middle-low rectal cancer and to evaluate the safety and availability of this method. |
