Skin avulsions of scrotum and penis are rarely seen, especially massive ones. But when occurs, it is vital for surgeons to take prompt and judicious measures to repair the defects for fear of possible disabilities which could be both physically and psychologically traumatic. We reported a case of massive skin avulsion of scrota and penis and for him, we customized the treatment by combination of dermal regeneration template (Pelnac) and split-thickness skin graft to cover the defect with the assist of vacuum closure through three steps. Our experience in this wound repair proved this combination is a safe, well-tolerated and efficient solution in the reconstruction of massive penoscrotal skin defects. |
