Polyunsaturated fatty acids, including ω-3 (EPA and DHA) may have the potential preventing role in the colorectal cancer (CRC) by changing the DNA methylation. In this review after summarizing the latest knowledge regarding the changes in the DNA methylation pattern and its association with CRC, we aim to highlight linking of polyunsaturated fatty acids with DNA methylation in CRC that is currently an interesting field of research. |
