Core Tip |
Predicting the likelihood of Crohn’s disease-related early surgery is of great importance in treatment strategy monitoring. Disease behavior, smoking, body mass index and C-reactive protein level at diagnosis, previous perianal or intestinal surgery, maximum bowel wall thickness, use of biologics, and exclusive enteral nutrition were identified as independent significant factors associated with early intestinal surgery. A validated prognostic model and a nomogram were established to aid clinical practice. |
