Core Tip |
Although the neurotoxic effects of aluminum have been known, it is still unclear regarding the effects of aluminum on epigenetic modifications in the context of neuronal development. Our present study has revealed that aluminum exerts the neurotoxic effects including promoting cell death through regulating DNA modifications. These results highlight the crosstalk between the environment and epigenetics, and subsequent phenotypes. Our findings emphasize the importance of protecting the environment and improving food safety. |
