Core Tip |
Ovarian follicular cysts (OFC) do harm to reproductivity and milk production of cows. To deal with the economic loss, this study is dedicated to establish the possibility of cattle placental stem cells (CPSCs) for treating OFC. We drained out follicular fluid and injected CPSCs into ovaries. Then, CPSCs proliferated significantly and expressed enormous CD44. Elevated concentration of progesterone in serum was noted. Subsided OFC was showed by ultrasound study. Moreover, cows with CPSCs injection achieved higher recovery rate, estrus rate and inseminated conception rate. These outcomes indicated the therapeutic potential of CPSCs for OFC in cattle. |
