| Core Tip |
This study assessed the value of 3.0T 31P magnetic resonance spectroscopy, a noninvasive technique, in testing response to antiviral therapy for chronic hepatitis C. The technique can provide biochemical information on hepatic metabolic processes. The phosphomonoester/phosphodiester ratio can be used as an indicator of response to antiviral treatment in chronic hepatitis C patients.
