Home health care services is gradually becoming very imperative as a strategy to provide continuous care to patients with terminal illness. This study provide an overall picture of the levels of burden experienced and coping strategies adopted by cancer caregivers in the study area. The severity of burden experienced and coping strategies adopted by cancer caregivers is a discovery point for oncology nurses: to integrate caregivers’ needs assessment into clinic admission routine aimed at directing the provision of evidenced-based interventions to alleviate advanced cancer caregiving burden in sub–Saharan Africa. |
