Core Tip |
The role of doublecortin-like kinase 1 (DCLK1) and leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5 (Lgr5) in patients with stage II/III colorectal cancer are uncertain. In this study, we found a positive correlation between the expression of DCLK1 and Lgr5, suggesting that DCLK1 and Lgr5 are involved in the malignant pathological development of colorectal cancer (CRC). High DCLK1 expression could predict the risk of recurrence and survival in CRC patients after surgery, which may be used as a potential cancer stem cells marker for the recurrence and survival of stage II/III CRC patients. |
