Core Tip |
Extraintestinal manifestations in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are very common and are often underestimated, despite provoking a significant impairment of quality of life of patients. This review examines recent literature concerning joint involvement in the course of IBD, focusing on the most important aspects regarding classification of forms of arthropathy, pathogenesis and the essential elements for a correct diagnostic and therapeutic approach. |
