Core Tip |
This study was performed to assess whether the restrictive and obstructive patterns of pulmonary disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) are associated with each other in Koreans. For our analysis, we used data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES, 2015). Participants: A total of 2,830 subjects were included in this study. Spirometry results were categorized into three patterns: normal, restrictive, and obstructive pulmonary disease. RPD, not obstructive pattern, is highly relevant to T2DM regardless of the risk factors of various T2DMs that can be mediated or confused. |
