This was a retrospective study to identify risk factors of stoma outlet obstruction (SOO) that develops after stoma surgery in patients with ulcerative colitis. High maximum stoma drainage volume and loop ileostomy were independent risk factors for the development of SOO. In patients with thick rectus abdominis muscles, SOO may recur. |
