Thermal ablation may lead to a residual tumor in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. Follow-up using ultrasound and fine-needle-aspiration biopsy may not be adequate to evaluate the residual tumor. Therefore, thermal ablation of papillary thyroid carcinoma should be carefully considered. |
