Core Tip |
Pancreatic cystic lesions are frequently found on imaging studies performed for other reasons, but differentiation between the different types and the detection of malignancy is often suboptimal with morphological features. Molecular analysis has been proposed to optimize cyst classification and detection of malignancy. However, there is little evidence of its feasibility and usefulness on daily practice. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic yield of molecular analysis for the detection of mucinous and malignant cysts in routine clinical practice. |
