Acute pancreatitis is the leading cause of hospitalization for acute gastrointestinal diseases. Probiotics are widely used for intestinal diseases, although its effect on mild acute pancreatitis has not been studied. This is the first study to explore the effect of probiotics in mild pancreatitis patients. Results indicated that probiotics were associated with decreased length of hospitalization. |
