Core Tip |
There are several reviews in the literature about diabetes and inflammatory diseases. Nonetheless, to my knowledge, this is the first review which clearly discussed the role of Ca2+/3'-5'-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) signalling in the link among diabetes and inflammatory diseases. This article also included a timeline of the major events in Ca2+/cAMP signalling field, and also discussed recent reports about the role of Ca2+ channel blockers for preventing Ca2+ signalling disruption due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including the correlation between COVID-19 and diabetes. |
