Core Tip |
The disease pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) happens rarely. Most of the tumors that occur in PMP are not primary, but secondary to ruptured mucinous tumors of other organs. Existent medical literature notes that the appendix is the most common origination site. However, other origination such as intestinal duplication can occur. Our case report describes a 52-year-old patient with PMP that derived from a primary intestinal duplication. The case report is important for the diagnosis and location of original lesions of PMP. |
