Core Tip |
Azathioprine is widely used in inflammatory disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and post solid organ transplant such as kidney transplantation. Azathioprine is an immune modulator drug that can expose patients to various infections and clinical fever. Azathioprine needs to be remembered as a potential fever provoker in the differential diagnosis of fever origin.
