| Core Tip |
In this work, we first report a very rare case on liver metastasis as initial clinical manifestation of sublingual gland adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) and it has never been described in English literatures till now. In the present paper, we have described our case in detail and approached the clinical and pathological characteristic, differential diagnosis and therapy for metastatic salivary gland ACC. Three past reports and our case confirm isolated liver metastasis can be the primary presentation for salivary ACC, even MYB-NFIB fusion gene is negatively detected by fluorescence in situ hybridization in both primary and metastatic ACC specimen. |
